Household and Personal Care Standard

In November, 2009, IFS HPC standard was published and addressed to manufacturers of household appliance and cosmetics.

IFS HPC Standard include four groups of products :

1. Cosmetics products which include personal care products such as shampoo, toothpaste, tissues, etc.
2. Chemical products containing household cleaning agents such as floor cleaners, glass cleaners, cleaning products for surface in the bathroom and kitchen as well as impregnating and polishing products used in domestic rooms and cars. This category also includes air freshening sprays, aromatic candles, etc.
3. The products referred in the regulation of EC 1935/2004 which are intended for contact with food such as plastic cutlery , aluminium foil, paper or plastic cubs, plates, etc.
4. Products or materials which are intended for personal hygiene excluding for example hair brushes, razors, the first class medical equipment, nappies, the hygiene of women, wigs, artificial eyelashes, artificial nails, jewellery, products and materials which are intended to contact with the interior of mouth such as toothbrushes, glue for dentures, dental floss, etc.
